Saunders Waterford is an exquisite English watercolour paper, traditionally made on a cylinder mould machine.
Made using 100% cotton to archival standards, each sheet is buffered with calcium carbonate to help defend finished pieces of work from discoloration caused by acids present in pollution.
Its attractive surface is created using natural woollen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. The surface is coated in gelatine making it strong and resilient to scrubbing and other rough treatments without the surface tearing.
Each sheet measures 22 x 30 inches in High White, available in cold press, hot press, and rough surfaces. The cold press and rough papers have 4 deckle edges, the hot press paper has 2 deckle edges. The sheets have an embossed logo and a watermark and are 140lb/300g. (The High White shade is a brighter white than the White Saunders Waterford paper.)
