Please contact nathaniel@archsupplies.com with any questions regarding workshops!

There are so many choices in creating a pastel - this includes the papers as well as process and markmaking. I’ll be working with a small group of participants (no more than 10) who have experience- or not- with pastels and would like to explore options. I start the workshop with a demo and examples. Then, using three different kinds of pastel paper, three different underpinnings, and three different types of markmaking, we will build an image and compare the end results.

Before the Workshop:
• I’ll send an online image gallery and handouts

At the Workshop:
• You'll be supplied with all the materials.

(bring your pastels if you have some)

This workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate-level pastel artists.
